Biography

Dr. Parsons is an Assistant Professor of Pathology at the Medical College of Wisconsin and the Director of the Pediatric Cytopathology service at Children’s Wisconsin. Her clinical duties include pediatric cytopathology, pediatric surgical pathology, adult cytopathology, placental pathology, and perinatal/pediatric autopsy pathology. She is Program Director for Anatomic Pathology for the Pathology Residency Program, the director of the pediatric pathology resident rotation, and actively participates in pediatric resident and fellow education. Dr. Parsons’ major clinical and research interests include the application of aspiration cytology in pediatrics, thyroid nodules and cancer (particularly in children), and pediatric renal tumors. She is an active member of the Society for Pediatric Pathology, the American Society of Cytopathology, and Children’s Oncology Group.
