MCW Otolaryngology and Communication Sciences Headlights Winter 2023 - Best Evidence ENT

After a two year pandemic delay, the 7^th Annual Best Evidence ENT conference was finally held July 28-31, 2022 at the American Club in Kohler, WI.

2022 Recap

Practicing otolaryngologists and advanced practice providers from across the country were eager to return to learn, contributing to a successful conference outcome. Led by David Poetker, MD GME ’06 and John Rhee, MD, MPH ’04 this conference featured the 32^nd Annual Roger H. Lehman Lecture presented by internationally recognized rhinologist Pete S. Batra, MD.

Best Evidence ENT 2022 was a four-day conference with sessions covering otology, laryngology, pediatric otolaryngology, head and neck oncology, surgical sleep, and a specialized rhinology symposium. Current topics on health care disparities and opioid use were also included, along with a look at the future of otolaryngology. Didactic presentations, panels, and a game of jeopardy focused on the latest evidence-based clinical care pathways and practice guidelines for patient assessment and treatment.

To welcome conference attendees, an opening reception was held in the spectacular Kohler Design Center. Attendees enjoyed beverages and hors d'oeuvres while mingling throughout the showroom. Conference attendees also had the opportunity to golf the championship courses of Kohler or enjoy the Kohler Waters Spa, outdoor activities, exclusive shops, and various dining options.
