Biography

Dr. John Meurer has been MCW faculty for 30 years. He leads evaluation of STRYV365 coaching and video game to advance social emotional learning and resiliency among school children. He continues collaboration of NIH-funded research of the impact of COVID vaccinations on mortality with 9 publications during the past two years. He also collaborates in a decade of CDC-funded research of the association of state Medicaid expansion on diabetes outcomes. He has been co-leader of workforce development in CTSI. He designs evaluation of Children’s metro clinic services to help patients to navigate health needs. Dr Meurer co-leads MPH courses in policy and population health management. He mentors MD, PhD, DrPH, and MPH students in research projects and career development. He weekly teaches pediatric residents at Children’s Midtown and monthly leads seminars on climate change and health.
