Biography

Marcelo C. Pasquini, MD, MS, is a Professor of Medicine in the Division of Hematology and Oncology. He completed medical school at the State University of Londrina, Brazil; postgraduate training in Internal Medicine at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital; Hematology and Oncology at the University of Utah; and Blood and Marrow Transplantation at the Medical College of Wisconsin. He received his Masters of Science degree in Epidemiology from the Medical College of Wisconsin. Dr. Pasquini also serves as Senior Scientific Director for Clinical Trials at the Center for International Blood and Marrow Transplant Research (CIBMTR) where he focuses on clinical research in the field of transplantation.

Research Interests

His medical practice is focused on hematologic malignancies, including multiple myeloma, acute myeloid leukemia, myelodysplasia and the use of blood and marrow transplantation for treatment of these diseases.
