Biography
Dr. Sandage works on the Psychiatry Consultation-Liaison Service at Children's Wisconsin and has a small outpatient clinic practice. He also is a team member in the state-funded Child Psychiatry Consultation Program, which provides consultative support to primary care providers.
After graduating from the College of Osteopathic Medicine and Surgery in Des Moines, IA, Dr. Sandage completed his General Psychiatry residency at Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, WI. He completed his fellowship in Child/Adolescent Psychiatry at Children’s Memorial Hospital/Northwestern University in Chicago, IL. He then joined the staff and faculty at Children’s Memorial Hospital/Northwestern University where he worked and taught for seven years. He then moved to Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, IL where he served as Division Chief of Child/Adolescent Psychiatry for eight years. He also served as Medical Director of the C/A Psychiatric In-patient Unit, provided consultation-liaison services to Pediatrics and coordinated the training for general psychiatry residents and C/A psychiatry fellows. Upon leaving Lutheran General Hospital in 1999, Dr. Sandage maintained a private practice for sixteen years in the North Shore area of Chicago, which included his providing consultation services to over 30 school districts and to three residential treatment centers in the Greater Chicago Metro area. Dr. Sandage joined the faculty of Medical College of Wisconsin and the staff at Children’s Wisconsin in October 2015.
