Teaching Philosophy
“The instruction and implementation of evidence-based medicine is essential in fostering the development of practitioners who can think critically, act purposefully, and provide care compassionately. My philosophy has always been to educate students to be purposeful and thoughtful practitioners, rather than simply being good students. A good student will always rise to a challenge when quality work is demanded, but a good practitioner will have the ability to see it through. An instructor of any profession is still, and always will be, a student of life. Knowledge is vastly diverse and plentiful; may there always be room for improvement in technique and administration.”
Interests and Background
“Originally from Connecticut, but I have spent most of my adult life in Atlanta, GA. When I am not deliberately putting people to “sleep,” I enjoy high energy activities, such as hiking, snowboarding, attending concerts, playing in a rock band, and spending time with family and friends. All of these activities, and more, I enjoy spending with my beautiful wife and daughter.”
