Biography

Prior to joining the MCW Pharmacy School, Dr. Chauhan was the Director of Pharmacy Nanotechnology at the Concordia University Wisconsin School of Pharmacy and worked at nanotechnology companies, Dendritic Nanotechnologies and NanoSynthons, in various capacities. He earned his Bachelors in Pharmacy (BPharm), Masters in Pharmacy (MPharm) and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Dr. Hari Singh Gour University, India. Dr. Chauhan has carried out pioneering work to establish dendrimer as a drug delivery platform such as anti-inflammatory dendrimers, nano-transdermal formulation, solubility enhancement and multifunctional excipients. He has 17 years of experience in development and commercialization of dendrimer based technology. He teaches various pharmaceutics subjects and mentored students for undergraduate, professional, and graduate programs. Dr. Chauhan serves as a reviewer for various renowned journals and grant reviewer for NIH and other international agencies. He was a team member in preparing nano-periodic classification roadmap and actively involved in creating nanotechnology awareness globally.

Publications

My duty is not only to provide knowledge, but to make my students knowledgeable. As a teacher my efforts are to reinforce the concepts by explaining complex issues with interesting examples and student activities. I believe each student is capable and a good teacher can make her/him efficient by proper channelization of knowledge. Teaching keeps me strongly attached to the root of knowledge and research helps me fly in the air of innovation
