Biophysics Researcher Publishes Review in Antioxidants

W. Karol Subczynski, PhD, professor of biophysics at MCW, and international collaborators from Jagiellonian University and Medical University of Lublin published a review article in Antioxidants, titled "Protecting the Eye Lens from Oxidative Stress through Oxygen Regulation." The review describes the major mechanisms that were developed during evolution to protect the eye lens against opacification and, thus, against the development of cataracts.
