Biography

Dr Wang's expertise is in biostatistics with his methodological research focusing on statistical genetics including genetic modeling of quantitative trait loci (QTL) and genetic markers, partition of genetic variance components for quantitative traits, haplotype analysis of SNPs, and mixed models for adjustment of population structure and familial relatedness in genetic association studies. His collaborative work includes the analysis of medical or physiological data (diabetes, hypertension, etc.), genomic data (SNPs, haplotypes, methylation, proteomic data, etc.), and survival analysis for Bone Marrow Transplantation outcomes. Currently, he is serving as a statistical director in both Immunobiology working committee (IBWC) and Graft-versus-host disease (GVHD) working committee for the  Center for International Blood and Marrow Transplant Research (CIBMTR).
