Research Interests
One line research description:
Developmental period of early embryo and epigenetic regulation during this period to learn how it may program health outcome in adulthood.
Full description:
In my PhD dissertation I got involved in research of the Developmental Origin of Health and Diseases (DOHaD), where I studied maternal caloric restriction led to development of hepato-steatosis in adulthood of the offspring. My key tool was ChIP assay, where I analyze the epigenetic modification of certain gene of interest.
I was intrigued by the Taniguchi lab’s work on different hPSC cell models to study peri-implantation period and generation of amnion from epiblast cells. Under his excellent mentorship I want to explore the molecular mechanism and epigenetic role behind amniogenesis during early developmental period.
