Biography
Dr. Acharya received his MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery) from Government Medical College, Surat, India and his Masters in Public Health at the University of Alabama, Birmingham. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Arkansas followed by an additional year as Chief Resident. Dr. Acharya finished his fellowship in Infectious Diseases at the Medical College of Wisconsin in June 2015 and joined the Division of Infectious Diseases at the Medical College of Wisconsin.
Research Interests
Dr. Acharya currently serves as the MCW Infectious Diseases Fellowship program director and also as the Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin Infectious Diseases Clinic Director. His clinical and research interests include quality improvement and care of patients with HIV or viral hepatitis, and medical education.
