Biography

Courtney Jankowski is a Program Manager in the Epidemiology & Social Sciences division within the Institute for Health and Equity and has been at MCW since 2020. Courtney’s role includes research project management, IRB management and compliance, grant writing and reporting, personnel management, protocol development, data collection, database management, staff management, budget oversight, dissemination of findings, and establishing and maintaining community partnerships. Her research interests and experience include environmental and climate health, social-emotional health, racial and ethnic disparities, health disparities, global health, clinical research, and cancer.

Courtney received a Master’s in Public Health with a focus in Health Policy and Administration from the University of Illinois Chicago in 2020. Prior to MCW, she worked at Sixteenth Street Community Health Centers in the WIC Program (Women, Infants & Children), working in advocacy and health education, serving mothers and children on the near south side of Milwaukee.

Her experience both at the community level and in academic research has given her a deep understanding and appreciation for community engaged research. Courtney is committed to examining health inequities and developing solutions through a community-led, equity-focused approach.
