Biography
Elizabeth currently serves as a Research Program Coordinator, and has extensive experience in public health, research, health education and community engagement. Prior to her work at MCW she worked at Sixteenth Street Community Health Center, where she developed and delivered bilingual health and wellness programs, and integrated nature-based behavioral health therapies.
Currently Elizabeth coordinates research studies focused on the impacts of neighborhood environmental factors such as residential racial segregation and green space, particularly through pathways that include stress, time spent outdoors, social interaction, and physical activity behaviors. Elizabeth also coordinates a clinical trial studying how breast cancer treatments impact cardiovascular health and how exercise could lessen the impacts on patients. Elizabeth is committed to conducting research that leads to the development of community-based interventions and policies to reduce health disparities.
Outside of work Elizabeth enjoys spending time outdoors. She loves hiking, kayaking, yoga, and Pilates. She is also an avid traveler who enjoys spending time with her family.
