Generative AI | MCW Libraries Featured Resource

An AI Chatbot, like ChatGPT, is an artificial intelligence (AI) program that uses Natural Language Processing (NLP) to understand patron questions that responds in a way that simulates conversations, or other forms of human communication. In other words: AI Chatbots like ChatGPT are NOT search engines - they are text generators.

MCW Libraries has a “Generative AI” Library Guide.

Journals have AI policies, generally found on the journal’s website under “Instructions for authors”, “editorial policies”, and other similar headings
The use of generative AI can have legal, environmental, and ethical implications.
