Biography

Leslie Cockerham, MD, MAS, is an assistant professor in medicine (infectious diseases) at the Medical College of Wisconsin and the Medical Director at the AIDS Resource Center of Wisconsin (ARCW). Dr. Cockerham received her Medical Degree from the Feinberg School of Medicine at Northwestern University in Chicago. She then completed her internal medicine residency, chief residency and infectious disease fellowship at the University of California – San Francisco (UCSF). While at UCSF, she also completed advanced training in epidemiology and biostatistics and received a Master’s Degree in Clinical Research. Dr. Cockerham joined the faculty at MCW in late 2014. Dr. Cockerham attends on the inpatient consult services, sees viral hepatitis patients in collaboration with the Hepatology Division at Froedtert Hospital, and provides HIV and primary care to patients at the AIDS Resource Center of Wisconsin. In 2016, Dr. Cockerham assumed the role of Medical Director at ARCW overseeing four medical clinics serving more than 1,500 patients with HIV in Wisconsin.
