Biography

After roles spanning the automotive industry, organizational consulting, and higher education, Dr. Jordan joined the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) as the inaugural Vice President for Inclusion and Diversity and Chief Diversity and Inclusion Officer in January 2017. Dr. Jordan brings a unique perspective to her role, leading inclusion, opportunity, and community impact strategies that enable excellence in pursuing MCW’s just cause of improving health for everyone, particularly those who encounter persistent barriers to health and flourishing.

Dr. Jordan’s practice, research, and scholarship center on how inclusion and health can be fostered toward mission excellence and thriving communities. Areas of interest include socioeconomic inclusion, economic drivers of health, anchor institutions, regional and cross-institutional workforce development, and violence reduction. Research and applied practice activities include three AHW-funded community partner workforce development projects: Milwaukee Healthcare Workforce Initiative, Building a Healthcare Workforce Through Access and Equity, and Integrating Advocates within a Healthcare Setting to Strengthen Intimate Partner Violence Screening.

Dr. Jordan serves as MCW liaison to the Milwaukee Anchor Collaborative, a United Performing Arts Fund board member, and on the Editorial Board of the Wisconsin Medical Journal. In 2021, the Milwaukee Business Journal recognized Dr. Jordan as a Woman of Influence.

Experience, research, and accomplishment in for-profit and not-for-profit organizations have given Dr. Jordan a deep understanding of organizational culture and operations and a passion for co-creating a healthy ecosystem for the mutual benefit of organizations and their constituents, stakeholders, and communities.
