Biography
Kelli Brown has been the Program Manager for the Master of Science in Global Health Equity at the Medical College of Wisconsin since April 2019. In this role, she plays a crucial role in supporting students and faculty and managing program activities. Kelli also supports the Office of Global Health and their mission to reduce health inequities through multi-institutional collaborative partnerships in community engagement, education, patient care, and research.
Kelli earned her Master of Public Health from UW-Madison in 2015, focusing on global health, and conducted a research project in India on the social determinants of antibiotic resistance in rural communities. Prior to her role at MCW, she gained valuable experience volunteering and traveling internationally, as well as working with the Harris County Health Department in Houston, TX, in the Environmental Health division. A passionate advocate for education, Kelli has served as an adjunct instructor at Carroll University, where she taught Introduction to Public Health and Environmental Health. She finds joy in connecting with students and sharing her enthusiasm for public health.
In 2024, Kelli completed her Doctorate in Public Health at MCW, where her research centered on the implementation of peer support programs in community-based organizations focused on recovery and reentry. Kelli continues to be dedicated to addressing global health challenges and fostering equitable health outcomes for all communities.
