Dr. Judy Kim elected to American Academy of Ophthalmology Board of Trustees

Judy Kim, MD, professor of ophthalmology, was elected by the members of the American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO) to serve as an at-large member of the AAO Board of Trustees. Her term began in January. Dr. Kim is a former AAO councilor for American Society of Retina Specialists (2014-2018), and has served the council in many roles, including serving on the Subspecialty Section Nominating Committee, Academy Awards Nominating Committee, Regional Meeting Chair and most recently as a deputy section leader. Dr. Kim also was the recipient of the Inaugural International Kwak Award at the Asia Pacific Vitreoretinal Society meeting held in Seoul, S. Korea in December 2018, for her contribution to research and Asia-Pacific and US ophthalmic relations.
