Visiting Medical Students
The Medical College of Wisconsin Department of Orthopaedic Surgery offers four Clinical Electives and one Research Elective for visiting fourth year medical students. Each elective is a 20 eight-day block rotation offered July through April. Electives are available at Froedtert Hospital, the Clement J. Zablocki VA Medical Center and Children’s Wisconsin. The elective is intended to provide senior medical students with instruction and experience in the treatment of diseases and trauma of the musculoskeletal system and to provide experience in diagnostic and therapeutic orthopaedic treatment of adult reconstructive problems.
The Medical College of Wisconsin’s Office of the Registrar can assist students with the application process for these electives as well as provide information on local housing options.
