MCW Pathology & Laboratory Medicine - Renal Pathology

The Renal Pathology service at the Medical College of Wisconsin provides expertise in the interpretation of native and transplant kidney biopsies. We work with MCW nephrologists, rheumatologists, and transplant surgeons to guide management of patients with a variety of rare and common non-neoplastic renal diseases. In addition, our team partners closely with multiple health systems and private practice nephrology groups across three states to provide patients with rapid and accurate diagnoses.

We pride ourselves on clinicopathologic correlation and excellent communication with our nephrology colleagues to ensure that our results are patient-centered and clinically relevant. We offer rapid processing of light, immunofluorescence, and electron microscopy including a full suite of relevant immunohistochemical and immunofluorescence stains.
