Biography
Dr. Silverman is a Pediatric Psychologist and Professor of Pediatrics at the Medical College of Wisconsin. He obtained his bachelor’s degree in Psychology at the Ohio State University in Columbus Ohio and obtained his PhD in Psychology at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Dr. Silverman then completed a Postdoctoral Fellowship in Pediatric Psychology at the University of Michigan Health System at the C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital in Ann Arbor Michigan. Currently, Dr. Silverman’s primary clinical services are provided through the section of Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition working with families of children diagnosed with GI disorders including Feeding and Nutrition Disorders and with families of children with Elimination Disorders.
Research Interests
Dr. Silverman co-directs the interdisciplinary research efforts of these programs at Children’s Wisconsin, in Milwaukee, emphasizing studies of disease etiology, treatment efficacy, and technology-based interventions. He is an internationally known researcher and lecturer with numerous grants and over 40 original publications.
