Research Interests
Dr. Beckmann is an attending physician in the emergency department at Children’s Wisconsin. She also has an appointment at the Medical College of Wisconsin where she is involved with teaching and mentoring of 3rd and 4th year medical students. Her previous research focused on the children and youth special health care needs population, developing an emergency information form to be used in the event of an emergency, disaster or for EMS preplanning.
Current research focuses on medical education, as Co-Director advancing the Continuous Professional Development Course, which combines mentoring with completing the core competencies of medical school in order to fulfill graduation requirements of the medical students.
