Biography
Pippa M. Simpson is a professor of pediatrics at the Medical College of Wisconsin with an adjunct appointment in the Department of Biostatistics. She serves as Director of the Division of Quantitative Health Sciences. Dr. Simpson is a Biostatistician at the MCW CTSI (Clinical Translational Science Institute). She has extensive experience and publications (over 119) including analyses of complex stratified national sample databases such as NHANES and NHIS. She has collaborated and assisted in the design of studies in fields such as community health, Pharmacogenetics, cardiology, and gastroenterology. Through her over 20 years of experience doing research consulting, she has actively helped faculty and fellows learn to develop research proposals. She has been a grant reviewer for the NIH for over 15 years. In 2004, she was awarded the US FDA Advisory Committee Service Award. Dr. Simpson was the president of the 2004-2006 Central Arkansas Statistical Association.
