Biography

Mentor: Francesca M. Marassi, PhD

Research Interests

The Marassi Lab uses interdisciplinary techniques, like solid-state NMR spectroscopy and molecular dynamics simulations, to determine the structure and functions of proteins with the hopes of understanding how they contribute to virulence. I am interested in investigating the protein Pla in Yersinia pestis, its interaction with Ail and Vitronectin, and its role in virulence using biophysical methods.
