Ignite Program

Froedtert & Medical College of Wisconsin Ignite Program

Welcome to Froedtert & MCW Ignite, a new collaborative program that aims to inspire middle school, high school, and college students to consider health science careers through engaging educational activities, presentations, tours and more. The goal of Froedtert & MCW Ignite is to increase interest in health science programs and grow our biomedical workforce during this exciting half-day experience on our Milwaukee campus.

About the Program

Ignite Program

Hands-on activities
The program will offer students engaging opportunities to develop a greater understanding of the different health-related disciplines. These opportunities may include but are not limited to hands-on activities in the anatomy lab and visiting the Standardized Teaching Assessment Resource (STAR) Center to practice caring for patients in a simulator environment.
Panel discussions
Students will be able to ask MCW students and Froedtert Health staff questions about their academic and career journeys and roles in health care.
Interactive education sessions
Students will learn about critical health issues such as advancing health equity and how they can make a difference in their community.
Program awareness
Students will learn about the many academic, career and professional development programs available at MCW and Froedtert Health.
Campus tour
Students will tour the MCW campus, which may include research and educational spaces and more

Any local middle school, high school, and college student group is eligible to be considered to participate in the program, with preference for groups who may be directly impacted by locoregional health disparities.
