Biography

Dr. Dhingra is a distinguished leader in the field of cardiology, serving as the Professor of Medicine, Section Head, and Medical Director of the Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology Program at Froedtert & MCW. After receiving his internal medicine training from Brooklyn, NY, he pursued his advanced training in research and preventive cardiology at the Framingham Heart Study and Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston. Dr. Dhingra’s unparalleled expertise is further demonstrated through his tenure as a staff physician at Harvard Medical School, where he also earned a master’s in public health from the Harvard School of Public Health.


Dr. Dhingra’s clinical cardiology training was completed at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, followed by specialized training in Advanced Heart Failure and Heart Transplantation at Tufts Medical Center in Boston.


His leadership extends beyond his current practice, actively contributing to various regional and national committees where he influences the future of heart failure and transplantation. His groundbreaking research focuses on optimizing donor and recipient selection for heart transplants and dual-organ transplants, advancing the science of transplantation to new heights.
