Biography

Dr. Laith Shaman was raised in New Zealand and grew up in Southeastern Michigan. He graduated from Wayne State University in Detroit with multiple honors. He earned his medical degree from the Dr. William Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine, where he was awarded the Centennial Leadership Award for his dedication to organizing volunteer events that give back to the community. He completed a three-year surgical residency in Foot and Ankle Surgery at Jesse Brown VA Medical Center where he served as Chief Resident. He has comprehensive training in diabetic limb salvage, foot and ankle trauma, as well as elective and reconstructive foot and ankle surgery. During his residency, he presented peer-reviewed abstracts at multiple surgical and wound care conferences. He was a finalist at the International Post Graduate Research Symposium at the Midwest Podiatry Conference in 2018. He has board qualifications by both the American Board of Podiatric Medicine and American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery. He is excited to serve the Greater Milwaukee community in providing the highest level of foot and ankle care. In his free time, Dr. Shaman enjoys hiking, skiing, traveling to U.S. National parks, and bungee jumping.
