Department of Ophthalmology & Visual Sciences Welcomes Cornea and Refractive Specialist Vinicius De Stefano, MD, PhD
Vinicius De Stefano, MD, PhD, has joined the Medical College of Wisconsin Department of Ophthalmology & Visual Sciences as an assistant professor of ophthalmology. Dr. De Stefano specializes in refractive surgery, cornea and external eye diseases, and will provide patient care as well as resident education.
Dr. De Stefano completed his medical and post-doctoral education at the esteemed Federal University of Sao Paulo in Brazil, followed by an ophthalmology residency and a cataract and refractive surgery fellowship at the same institution. He furthered his training with a postdoctoral fellowship at the Cole Eye Institute at the Cleveland Clinic, an ophthalmology residency at the Stanley M. Truhlsen Eye Institute at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, and a cornea and refractive surgery fellowship at the Storm Eye Institute at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston.
