RO1 Grant Received by Dr. Anna Palatnik; CAI Continues to Provide Research Services
Dr. Anna Palatnik, an associate professor in Obstetrics and Gynecology within the Division of Maternal Fetal Medicine, is leading a new RO1-funded study aimed at reducing the risk of chronic hypertension and enhancing vascular function following preeclampsia. This study has transitioned into a fully powered multisite trial.
Previous research supported by the CAI’s PCAP funding has paved the way for a new funding opportunity from the NIH. The PCAP-funded study, titled ‘Intensive Postpartum Antihypertensive Treatment’ (IPAT), investigated the impact of IPAT on blood pressure control and vascular dysfunction markers. The study protocols developed for IPAT will now be applied to a fully funded study under an NIH RO1 Grant.
