Medical School Academic Bulletin

The Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) is dedicated to the development of the next generation of outstanding physicians, scientists, pharmacists and health professionals. We are committed to supporting our students with state-of-the-art educational programs and facilities, and expert faculty to guide our students in mastering the science and practice of medicine and the highest professional and ethical principles.

Our Medical School in Milwaukee and regional campuses in Green Bay and Central Wisconsin provide an innovative, rigorous and immersive curriculum that prepares our graduates with a deep understanding of the healthcare needs in their communities.

MCW-Milwaukee offers a four-year curriculum with opportunities to explore a wide variety of Scholarly Pathways that focus on community health, cellular and molecular research, bioethics and more. In addition, MCW-Milwaukee offers a 28-month Master of Science in Anesthesia degree program, where students learn through classroom, simulated learning and clinical experiences taught by leading physician anesthesiologists in diverse settings.

MCW-Green Bay and MCW-Central Wisconsin provide a calendar efficient three-year curriculum with an emphasis for students interested in pursuing primary care, general surgery or psychiatry. Students live and learn immersed in the communities where they are likely to practice.

MCW medical students learn from faculty who are among the top physicians and scientists in the country. Significant research opportunities abound for our medical students. Our faculty have pioneered hundreds of medical “firsts” that have benefited patients. MCW faculty conduct nationally recognized, interdisciplinary research aimed at accelerating advances to patient care. Research strengths include cancer, cardiovascular, genomics, proteomics, stem cell biology, neurosciences, traumatic brain injury and imaging, infectious diseases and immunology, and community and population health.

At MCW, your medical education is at the core of everything we do. Faculty and staff are dedicated to helping you discover your potential and true calling in medicine – whether you want to focus on patient care, research or medical education.

We welcome you in beginning the journey of discovery and training at our nationally recognized and distinguished Medical College of Wisconsin.
