Learning Objectives
  • Evaluate updates in subspecialty diagnosis and treatment, particularly in the realms of oculoplastics, pediatric ophthalmology, and retina.
  • Recognize time-sensitive diagnoses which would most benefit from subspecialty care, versus those that need immediate action, versus those that can be managed locally. Panel discussions and real-world examples will be provided, including pearls and pitfalls, by experienced presenters.
  • Identify different structural goals and results of Asian blepharoplasty and browplasty.
  • Identify different subsets of rare diseases like retinoblastoma, and identify how advances in technology (like AI) can be used to supplement the practice of ophthalmology.
