Lipinski lab and friends hit the town at ARVO
Past members of the OGTL – including Emily Nettesheim (UT Southwestern) and Hanmeng Zhang (Harvard Medical School) – reunited in New Orleans with the current Lipinski lab for an evening of excellent Cajun food and cocktails. After accidently meeting up with our friends from the AOIP, the night ended up on Bourbon Street. Of course!
Hooding Ceremony for Drs. Zhang and Patel
Dan Lipinski (sporting his bright red Oxford gown and white tie!) attended the formal hooding ceremony for two recent PhD graduates from the OGTL – Dr. Hanmeng Zhang and Dr. Dwani Patel – who were joined by their family and friends to help celebrate their official graduation from the Medical College of Wisconsin.

Inaugural Lipinski Lab Christmas Outing
Daniel Lipinski, PhD, and members of the Ocular Gene Therapy Laboratory (OGTL) celebrated the upcoming holidays with a trip to Holler House, a vintage Milwaukee tavern that boasts the oldest certified bowling alley in the United States. OGT members were joined by friends, partners and fellow Eye Institute researchers for an evening of beer, bowling and terrible, terrible Christmas sweaters! Members of the OGTL take time out during a successful trip to the ASGCT annual meeting in Chicago to relax and (literally) share a drink on the 22nd floor rooftop bar of London House.
